My First Week On Rotary Youth Exchange in Germany

30 Jan 2016

So I'm in Germany ! It is so crazy to say that and it is so real, in my first week here I have done so many things. I have been to so many little cities in Germany around my town and I have gone to the Theatre to watch a German show called 'WET' and it was fantastic and so eccentric and different from anything in Australia. My host family in Germany is awesome and they can speak English really well so that is very helpfull but soon I should be speaking and understanding German. So far my favourite thing about Germany is the landscape it is so beautiful and the trees are so pretty when they have snow on them, although all the snow has gone now:( I started school yesterday and it super hard to concentrate because it is in German and I don't understand ANYTHING! But the people are nice and very fashionable. Basically my first week involved buying new nikes a warm jacket from Esprit and those plug converters because Europe has different cables to Australia. Also have been sorting out like a thousand bits of paperwork and it has been photocopy after photocopy but it is all sorted now thank god ! I made a video of my first week, although I am creeping on to 2 weeks now, and I have already seen and done so much and I am so grateful to be here;) BUT the video would not upload because internet struggles but it is on my facebook:)
